Been to the Meltdown and tbh i know what Visiam is getting at, but if we can get some good confirmed numbers we can get in touch with meltdown and let them know just whats gonna be hitting them so theyre prepared.
Honestly with the first few days of ATXI and Meltdown never having put on any kind of Eve Online event they were (quite understandably) a lil light on things, erring on the side of caution / conservativism.
I have no reservations that Meltdown will rise to the occasion. I will be there drinking, playing games and having fun including some karaoke (alcohol permitting!)
only wish gamerbase was still in business :( |

lordstomp wrote:Oh you have picked one of the most busiest family nights in the year for this in the UK I wonder if EVE Vegas would have ever been run at Thanksgiving weekend Remember Remember the 5th of November Will be watching EMP Thermal Explosive and kinetic with the whipcracker and kids
you're not wrong, but on saturday it we wont just be there in the evening, we'll be here pretty much all day! plus a lot of us will be in the pub on the friday too!
honestly eve player meets are genuinely great! you may feel a little nervous at your first but honestly no one minds people hanging about, diving into convos, introducing themselves, chances are most people will ask if ur here for the eve blob player meet and the usual exchange of pleasantries and handshakes / manly hugs etc occur.
you soon realise people do check their egos at the door and we all get along, regardless of in game affiliations or ongoing feuds and wars! its very humbling and refreshing that u can walk into a room full of strangers initially and walk away at the end of the night having had a great laugh and a great time!
plus as the player meets grow in size and experience CCP brings moar goodies! i cant wait for another drunken karaoke night! |

Cronos Decendum wrote:England is worst country ever to party in, if you want to party hard as seems to be the idea organize in Belgium/Netherlands. London is expensive. Mainland Europe more central and easier to reach. Organizers should wake up.
well if you seem to know better then how about u get off ur ass and do it! :P

I unfortunately haven't been able to get out of prior engagements on Saturday, so I won't be able to make it to the main event. I am a total noob and am wandering what Saturday entails, some of the earlier post have confused me a bit -- I am currently under the assumption this is a beer and a chat ? Or is it a bring your laptop?
you dont need to bring your laptop, its a chat and a beer.... and a group skype with CCP Devs and a quiz and other things, but you dont actually need to bring anything except yourself and maybe a camera / smartphone to capture the moments!

That was a fun game.... long but fun! did feel a bit of a geek in a pub playing a board game, i hope who ever's game it was that all the POS fuel didnt ruin it or that we didnt loose too much of the things needed to play it!
im taking good care of the winners badge, even though its very ambiguous it means a lot to me!
i think Deathpain did the majority of the GM'ing on Danger Game, though many thanks for whoever it was that came in to give him a breather!
